Hi!
Nam and I just got back from the hospital and Adam is off all tubes!!! He was awake/conscious and reaching out for all of us to hold/shake our hands. He is only on the oxygen mask thing which is assisting his breathing- but that's it! He was not allowed to talk to us- but we were all very excited but could only talk to him a little as the doctor insisted he be kept calm as he wanted his heart rate to be lower. A nurse asked him his name and he spoke it!!! His dad got the clearance to use a CD player to play him all the messages we have left him. I feel this is such a great day for Adam. Thank you to everyone for your support and prayers- it has worked!!! It seems like a long time all this has been unfolding, but considering the injuries he has- I think with the great care of the hospital, Adam's own will power and the love and support of his family and friends has all made it a speedy recovery! Like I said in another email- we know how serious the injuries are, so keeping a positive light on it all has really helped Adam as well as his family.
I'm so happy and excited. Because he is conscious now, I think any support is still very much needed, appreciated and welcomed.
